The Conjuring (2013) — Art of the Title

This title sequence font is used to fit in with the narrative itself as the narrative is mainly pictures of newspapers so if the font was too odd or abnormal then it wouldn't fit in with the background. By this, I mean that the font is similar to what you would find in a a newspaper. This font isn't necessarily scary however it suits the genre and the theme of the movie. The audience that would be watching the movie won't be necessarily scared due to the font however it does build suspence and tension into the movie. The titles are also used as a kind of masking tool to detach some of the figures' appearences, this is somewhat spooky as we find people without identity scary.
